Thirty second review of The Bourne Ultimatum

I went and saw it last night. It’s a full speed ahead action movie with a style of direction that makes the action scenes much more immediate. Rather than long shots from a distance showing the action, the director chose to film with a shoulder carried camera, apparently with the steady-cam feature disabled. The result is that you feel like you’re right there.

The plot, such as it is, serves mostly to connect action sequences in several locations around the world. That is perhaps a little unkind. The storyline from the previous two movies is finally resolved. Bourne does discover who he really is.

All in all, this was one of the best action flicks I’ve seen in a long time. At several points my fellow theater-goers cheered when Bourne outsmarted the evil and incredible dense CIA man leading the charge against Bourne.

Recommended.
