I’ve been reading a lot about the “need” for a Dem candidate to be competitive in the South. Perhaps someone can explain why, with the electoral college,it makes any difference. No Dem is going to take Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, etc. So why should we care if the Dem is competitive there? Wouldn’t the candidate be better off trying to win all the states Gore won in 2000 (including Florida)? Just a thought.
I’m still trying to figure out what the President was describing when he mentioned in the SOTU “weapons of mass destruction related program activities.” And were these WMDRPA worth the cost in lives and dollars put into an invasion of Iraq to put a stop to them? It’s hard to tell. The WMD we were assured were in Iraq are AWOL just like the year that the President didn’t spend in the Air National Guard.

I followed a link to a petition asking Disney to once more give special needs passes to autistic children. The passes allow the child to cut to the front of the line. The author says there is no way his 5 year old autistic child could ever wait in lines. I believe him. There are also some good links to autism related sites.
